You can invest the 10,000 virtual credits for a question at any time. Most participants would invest their credits once and never update the trades. This may be a good idea only if your chosen option is accurate at the end. If you think your chosen option is no longer valid, you can sell your position and buy the option you now think will be true. Regularly updating your trades based on your expectations is the best way to participate in the market.
There are six questions related to COVID-19 outcomes that will expire on December 31, 2021. Every 15 days, there is also a new question that will expire in 15 days. More specifically, the question of COVID-19 new cases in Greater Accra is asked for a two week period and the question renews once the previous question expires.
First of all, you get rewarded based on your performance in a given question. Each question will have its own reward. The rewards are made in phone credits. So you will be rewarded six times for questions that expire on December 31, and will be rewarded additional six times for the questions that expire every 15 days. Ultimately, your reward will be based on how accurate you were in predicting the outcomes.
The reward for contracts expiring on December 31 (3 month contracts):
Rank 1-10 : 30 Cedi, Rank 11-20: 25 Cedi, Rank 21-30: 23 Cedi, Rank 31-40: 21 Cedi, Rank 41-50: 18 Cedi, Rank 51-60: 15 Cedi, Rank 61-70: 12 Cedi, Rank 71-80: 9 Cedi, Rank 81-90: 6 Cedi, Rank 91-100: 3 Cedi.
The reward for contracts expiring every two weeks:
Rank 1-10 : 15 Cedi, Rank 11-20: 12.5 Cedi, Rank 21-30: 11.5 Cedi, Rank 31-40: 10.5 Cedi, Rank 41-50: 9 Cedi, Rank 51-60: 7.5 Cedi, Rank 61-70: 6 Cedi, Rank 71-80: 4.5 Cedi, Rank 81-90: 3 Cedi, Rank 91-100: 1.5 Cedi.
